Since 2017 Greenland has fascinated me. Its unrivaled immense landscapes with breathtaking views are now increasingly in focus for international development. Climate and political issues have put Greenland at the centre of world attention. The small population of Greenland requires assistance in developing sustainable tourist infrastructure with the aim of becoming carbon neutral and zero polluting. An objective that will ultimately help them on their path to economic sustainability.
The first modern architectural project in Ilulissat is under construction, the Icefjord Centre, and is setting an important benchmark that confirms my belief in opportunity for modern quality architecture. Hence my approach in designing sustainable high end prefabricated lodges.
